Spring is when you feel like whistling

One can get as much exultation in losing oneself in a little thing as in a big thing. It is nice to think that one can get recklessly lost in a daisy. - Anne Morrow Lindbergh

Laughter can be more satisfying than honor; more precious than money; more heart-cleansing than prayer. - Harriet Rochlin

Spring is when you feel like whistling even with a shoe full of slush. Doug Larson

If there comes a little thaw,
Still the air is chill and raw,
Here and there a patch of snow,
Dirtier than the ground below,
Dribbles down a marshy flood;
Ankle-deep you stick in mud In the meadows while you sing,
"This is Spring." - Christopher Pearce Cranch, A Spring Growl

And so it goes ...
as I look out the window I see the wonderful sight of snow gently covering the ground
now I must go outside and snap a few pictures...
this may be our last chance to capture to beauty of the snow covering our valley
... but maybe not
don't you just love the snow?
