Saving stuff is a waste of time
It clutters the space and
Boggles the mind
Sooner or later I’ll just move it twice
Because it’s now filled with
bugs and small mice
The boxes are here and
The bags over there
I’ll soon be quite bald
from pulling my hair
Have you seen so much shit
In all of your life
It’s bound to bring nothing
But mis’ry and strife
My stuff that I’ve saved
Has made such a mess
It causes me pain
And no end of stress
The value perceived
Disappeared in a flash
It might have been better
Stuck way up my ash

Unocchio Digs for Gold
The project moves on today with a look into the 3rd floor attic ... high in the sky.... with a marvelous lake view that moves the heart and soul. I'll take you along ...........
but Unocchio says
1. The CHD will collect and store shit according the to space available... and if that space fills he will squash it all down and fill it again
2. To the /CHD true treasures and shit all look the same
3. If you are throwing away the CHD treasures you might as well rip his heart out
4. For the CHD to actually change his ways is an earth shaking event of the greatest magnitude
5. The prez ought to award the CHD a special Congressional Badge of Honor when he changes and gets rid of all that shit .... it could be"The Congression Badge of Honor for dumping Shit" .... OK.. maybe not... then he'd have to award it to all of Congress because they are continually dumoing shit on us
OK..... follow me on today's big venture.................
To begin it is about 84 in Crescent City today.... now that may not seem bad to you but go up three flights and craw into the attic under the tin roof and...... you get the picture.
I work in short bursts down here.. that's about all I can take. I start out lickity split full of energy and pazazz but then after an hour... sometimes a little more.... I buzz off and head for the one room in the house that has aircon... pathetic..... but it still takes a while for the sweat to stop pouring.
Sweating is good :-)
We're down on the ground in the driveway ..... that's where we're going .... dang, it looks a long ways up there... sure want to be careful so I doin't come down the fast way... I wonder if it would seem like only half as fast if I can see out of only one eye :-)
I usually go barefoot down here but I think I'll wear shoes for this job so it's back up to the apartment.
From there we'll go out the back door and around the porch.. hang on
After carefully inspecting the situation it looks the same from both sides.... just got to grab 'em and git goin'
At the top of the ladder let's peak in the door
That's it for today... I am bushed and sweating..... time for a piece of southern fried chicken and a beer...and maybe a short nap
See ya

OK.... see the end of the proch.....no banister and rail.... that's where we jump on to the roof and make our way to the top and then up the ladder .... walk carefully and try to stay on the ridges

Holy shit... look at all that stuff... I think it has multiplied since the last time I was up here!
OK... the West side isn't that bad... looks organized in fact. I wonder what all that stuff is...must be extremely valuable!
Hmmmmm... the East side isn't so bad either... heh heh.... and look at that.. the boxes are labeled.
Now I see... most of it is near the door..... I was preparing to move it out.... maybe I did that in my sleep... who knows
Now we're making progress... from storing it out of sitght in the attic to storing it in sight on the upper deck so the whole damn neighbor hood can see it .... but it is closer to the trash can now. Hmmmm I wonder what that box is..... well tang if it isnt the Calvert School stuff...... someone wrote on the box... do not throw away..... and it looks like a kid's writing.... must be some valuable shit in there.
That's it for today... I am bushed and sweating..... time for a piece of southern fried chicken and a beer...and maybe a short nap

Unocchio Rumbles on
The Woodmaster tool has been cleaned up and photographed for craigslist... some of the assessories have been sold and more room is showing up in the shop....ahhhhh...headway
The 15" planner is now parked near the door ready to go....sold
The front porch is temporary home to autoparts .... a foto session had taken place already... now we have to dust off the remainder and shoot them for craigs list ......... if few responses come in next week I move thme to another craigslist location .... if that doesn't work I will try to peddle them to used car dealers and auto repair shops ..... and maybe the world famous Daytona flee market

OH YES.. I LIKE THIS
Oh yes .... I like this
It is move it out time and I'm having lots of fun selling stuff and snoopinng into all the hoarded items here in Crescent City. Much of this stuff I haven't seen in years but it all comes back as I dig thru the treasures....... well maybe treasures to someone.. I'm not sure who that is tho.
Here are some of the old bottles.... just worthless old junk... some of them were nnew since I've been here but now they are old because I have been here so long .... dang ...... maybe I'm gettin' old too.... but I climbed up into the attic today to show the air-con man around. the house is being measured up for new electrical, air con, insulation, and lots of other good thing. This will be a great house soon..... oh yea... a new roof is also being figured in (even tho hermits like me might have made the existing roof last another 20 years). the new one will look lots better.

Unocchio visits Eureka Nevada
Erueka Nevada ..... old gold mining town .... the area is still mining today and the county has a good income from it. Lots of flavor and cool sights in this town.
This was the destination of the trip..... worth the drive... would do it again.
This was the destination of the trip..... worth the drive... would do it again.
Trip to the outback - outback Nevada that is
Highway 50 across the State of Nevada is dubbed 'The Loneliest Highway in America" and you are about to accompany me on a trip down that road. Check out the sign below and the map.
Nevada is a State of many faces..... you are about to see some of those faces. Far from being Las Vegas the outback houses many wonders of nature and history.
Last Friday, 18 Sept 09, we left Carson City about 12 pm headed east. Carson City sits in a valley ... lots of water, grass, trees and a golf course. As soon as you climb out over the hill to the east things change a bit..... but there are still small trees.
Once you get to Dayton, NV there is a river running near the highway which furnishes water for ranches, fields and bigger trees. They even have barns along there... notice I shot one for all you barn lovers.
The next shot of a puddle is Lahonton Reservoir .... it looked like it was over 50% down from the top.
Less than an hour of desert driving we are at another oasis....... Fallon Nevada. ..... crops, grass, hay, cattle, cheaper living and a Naval Air Station... check it out on wikipedia.... and a few quick shots for you below.
Now we get to some serious back country road where you see different kinds of mountains and rocks .... petroglyths and old mines.... ghost towns and almost ghost towns ... Austin, NV coming up. there she sits part way up that mountain over there.
Did you see that bright yellow over there along the road ? .... rabbit grass .... there was also some red grass .... the desert does have soome color .
East of Austin about 70 miles is Eureka ... that's the destination. Between Austin and Eureka is some wide open spaces ... some very dry and some of it actually gets some water from somewhere.... notiice the green of the sage and the other growthh in some of those scenes ... notice the heavey traffic too. :-)
