One day last Fall I took a little drive over to Ponce Inlet... it was a beautiful day... The Atlantic Ocean called and I responded. After walking the beach and stopping at several spots I turned towards the inlet. There waiting for me were birds of all sorts... but the one that caught my eye was the old pelican... sitting there watching and waiting for the next meal. His buddies were on the other pilings and the docks... but the chief caught my eye.
I have to admit, I'm not sure that I've ever painted a Pelican. But your rendition makes me WANT to! I may have done one a loonngg time ago in Watercolor, but since I don't recall for sure, it apparently wasn't a masterpiece.
